Senior Doordarshan News Anchor Neelum Sharma Passes Away at 50

वरिष्ठ पत्रकार एवं एंकर नीलम शर्मा का 50 वर्ष की आयु में निधन




नई दिल्लीः अपनी मुस्कान और विश्वास के साथ न्यूज़ पढ़ने से लेकर वहुत से कार्यक्रम होस्ट करने वाली नीलम शर्मा आज हमारे बीच नहीं रही, 17 अगस्त 2019 को उनका देहांत हो गया| उनकी मौत की वजह कैंसर वताई गई| वो 1995 में दूरदर्शन में शामिल हुई थी लगातार 25 वर्षों तक वतौर न्यूज़ एंकर एवं पत्रकार के रूप में काम किया| 
अपनी एवरग्रीन खूबसूरत मुस्कान, साड़ी तथा खुले बालों के लिए वो हमेशा जानी जाती थी| उनके अच्छे परिधान तथा वेशभूषा के लिए उन्हें हमेशा प्रशंसा मिलती थी| दूरदर्शन के साथ अपने कार्यकाल में नीलम शर्मा ने तेजस्विनी तथा बड़ी चर्चा समेत कई लोकप्रिय कार्यक्रमों में काम किया उनका संचालन किया तथा उनके काम की हमेशा सराहना हुई| 8 मार्च 2019 में उन्हें राष्ट्रपति श्री रामनाथ कोविंद द्वारा नारी शक्ति अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया गया था| नारी शक्ति पुरस्कार महिलाओं की उपलब्धियों तथा योगदान को मान्यता देने वाला भारत का सर्बोच्च नागरिक पुरस्कार है| यह देश के राष्ट्रपति के द्वारा दिया जाता है|  


दूरदर्शन के उनके 25   साल के कैरियर में  उनके अच्छे काम के लिए उन्हें कई पुरस्कार मिले| लेकिन वर्ष 2014 में एक नस्लभेद के आरोपों के कारण वो विवादों के घेरे में  फँस गई थी|  उनके कार्यक्रम शनिवार चर्चा  20 साल के नीडो तनियम के ऊपर चर्च होनी थी जिसको लाजपत नगर में मार दिया गया था | उस प्रोग्राम में चर्चा के लिए अरुणांचल  कुछ छात्र आये थे जिनका आरोप था की महज हिंदी नहीं  आने के कारण नीलम शर्मा  प्रोडूसर ने उन्हें बोलने  नहीं दिया गया था| हालांकि वाद में उनको निर्दोष पाया गया था| 
कैंसर से पीड़ित नीलम शर्मा का नॉएडा  अस्पताल में इलाज चल रहा था तथा खराब स्थिति की वजह से उनको वेंटिलिटर पर रखा  गया था जहाँ पर वाद में उनका निधन हो गया| चाहे वो आज हमारे बीच में नहीं रही फिर भी उनकी अच्छी छवि हमारे दिलों में हमेशा रहगी|
