BCCI के अंशुमान उपाध्याय की दिल्ली पुलिस की क्राइम ब्रांच को शिकायत के आधार पर जिसके अनुसार कुछ लोग युवा खिलाड़ियों को रणजी टीम में खिलाने के नाम पर उनसे ठगी कर रहे हैं। क्राइम ब्रांच ने जांच शुरू की तो पता लगा दो युवा खिलाड़ी कनिष्क गौड़ और शिवम के साथ धोखाधड़ी की गई है। क्राइम ब्रांच ने आईपीसी की धारा 471,120 बी, 467, 468,420 के तहत 3 मार्च 2019 को एफआईआर दर्ज की गई थी ।

क्राइम ब्रांच ने दिल्ली के पीतमपुरा में फ्रेंड्स एकेडमी में कोच रवि दलाल और उसके साथी हरीश जमाल जो कि एक स्कूल में पार्ट टाईम कोच है को अरेस्ट किया है । उल्लेखनीय है की रवि दलाल ने कनिष्क गौर से 11 लाख रुपये लेकर उसे गेस्ट प्लेयर के तौर पर जगह दिलाने का वादा किया तथा शिवम नाम के खिलाड़ी से 4 लाख रुपये लिए और उसे अंडर 23 साल बर्ग में खिलाने का वादा किया लेकिन उसे मौक़ा नहीं दिया गया। जांच चल रही है इसमें कई और बड़े लोगों के चेहरे सामने आ सकते हैं |
